Objective: To investigate the transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1) on the anti-proliferation effect and the relationship with the cell cycle related protein expression of c-myc and mutant type p53 on SNU-601/WT gastric carcinoma cell line.Materials and Methods: The experiment was divided into two groups: control group and experiment group. The control group referred to the SNU-601/WT cell line only, and no TGF-β1. The experiment group referred to the SNU-601/WT cell line added 10 ng/mL TGF-β1. All groups cell lines were respectively cultured for 24, 48, and 72h. The cell survival rate was detected by using MTT assay in all groups and time period, and the c-myc and p53 protein expressions were detected by using immunohistochemistry and Western Blotting techniques. Results: MTT assay showed that the SNU-601/WT survival rate of experiment group was significantly decreased compared with control group (P<0.001) , and it had the concentration and time dependent. Inverted microscope showed that the cell proliferation of control group was increased along with the time elongated, however, 10 ng/mL TGF-β1 treated experiment group showed the cell proliferation was significantly decreased in all...
