Objective: To evaluate the efficiency and toxicities of the combination of docetaxel and cisplatin in the treatment of patients with advanced breast cancer.Methods: 40 patients with advanced breast cancer were enrolled into the study. The patients received docetaxel 60mg/m~2 on day 1, and cisplatin 30 mg/m~2 divided into 2-4 of a 21-day cycle. Each patient should complete two cycle.Results: The over response rate (CR+PR) was 62. 5%. CR was 12. 5%, PR was 50%, respectively. The major side effects were leucopenia, alopecia, thrombocytopenia, nausea, vomiting, and pain of joint and muscle. The rate of leucopenia in grade â…  + â…¡ was 50%, and 20% in grade â…¢+â…£. Compared with the control group (DP regimen) there are not difference in RR.Conclusion: The combination of docetaxel and cisplatin is a feasible, reduced toxicities, well-tolerated and active scheme treatment of advanced breast cancer.
