Backgrand and Objective:Oral mucoadhesive drug delivery system is a new system of drug delivery,and has recently gained great concern in pharmaceutics.oral mucoadhesive preparation is prepared with drug and suitable bioadhesive material which can adhere to oral mucosa and release drug constantly.It can typically treat disease in oral cavity.Adsorbed through oral mucosa,drug-first pass effect of gastrointestinal tract and liver can be avoid so that the oral mcosa administration can improve the bioavailability for drugs.Nystatin was selected as model drug.It is a common topical treatment for thrust and other oropharyngeal Candidosis,It owns many advantages such as:high efficiency,low side effects and so on.however there are not very effecive dosage forms for treating oropharyngeal diseases.Designing it into oral mucoadhesive tablet can improve the local drug concentration,reduce the dose and sustain the drug release.Methods:1.The oral mucoadhesive tablets based on CP 934P and HPMC K4M at different ratios were prepared by direct compression of mixed powders.The bioadhesive force,bioadhesive time and swelling rate of the mucoadhesive tablets were determined by home-made apparatus.to determine better range of ratio of CP and HPMC.2.The cup paddle method was used to study the release of Nystatin...
