To research into the relationship between the type â…¡ collagenes and osteoarthritis and to explore the diagnosis of OA in an early stage in order to improve the diagnosis of OA and make it feasible to prevent and treat the disease at very onset as much as possible. Study backgroundThe hallmark of osteoarthritis is the loss of articular cartilage. This loss arises from an imbalance between cartilaginous synthesis and degradation over a variable period of time. The high morbidity of OA, the disabled and poor living quality caused by the disease have evoked human extensive attention. It is an urgent problem to deal with. The cartilage is mainly composed of collagens, whose metabolic changes make an important influence on occurrence, development and progonosis of OA. It is the imbalance between anabolism and catabolism of the cartilage that arouses the cartilaginous destruction in OA.The diagnosis and evaluation of OA mainly depend on clinical manifestation,X-ray, arthroscopy, etc.(1) X-Ray: The manifestations of OA in the early stage include the narrowing of joint space, the hardened below cartilage, cystic transformation of capitulum and the...
