For the purpose to study the quality evaluation of 4 kinds of crude drugs of Citrus sp. and preparation technology of their relevant extracts, the following studies were carried out:1. To establish a systematical quality evaluation method of 17 crude drugs of Citrus species including Fructus Aurantii Immaturus, Fructus aurantii, Pericarpium citri reticulatae and Pericarpium citri reticulatae viride from different areas in china, a HPLC method was set up to determine the contents of synephrine as well as hesperidin, neohesperidin, naringin and narirutin in crude drugs. The chromatographic conditions for synephrine included an Inertsil ODS-3 (250×4.6mm, 5μm) column and the mobile phase consisting of a mixture of methanol-water (composed of 0.02% phosphoric acid and 0.1% sodium dodecyl sulfate) (7:4). The determination of 4 flavonone glycosides was performed on the Inertsil ODS-3 column, using methanol-water-acetic acid (38:58:4) as the mobile phase. The linear ranges of synephrine, hesperidin and naringin were in 0.04 mg · mL-1 -0.64 mg · mL-1, 0.03 mg · mL-1-0.48 mg · mL-1 and 0.03 mg · mL-1-0.48 mg · mL-1, with the r from 0.9999 to 1.000. Their recoveries were 98.6%, 99.6% and 99.0%, respectively. The results indicated that the contents of synephrine and flavonoids were much different between the species of different sources. With the fruits of citrus species becoming more mature, the contents of synephrine and flavonoids got lower. The studies provided testing witness for choosing raw materials of extracts with high synephrine and high hesperidin.2. A quality evaluation method for the commerical extracts of Citrus was set up.
