| ObjectiveUterus myoma is the most common benign tumor in female reproductive organs. It is present in 20~30% of reproductive-age women. It is 52% of benign tumor in female reproductive organs. The exact etiology and mechanism is unknown.Transgelin gene was found for the first time as a transformation and shape-change sensitive actin gelling protein in fibroblasts and smooth muscle. It was considered as the marker gene of VSMC. The results of some researches indicated that expression of transgelin gene is low in cancer of bladder, breast, kidney, colon and ovary, and is normal in their control groups. Transgelin's expression is very high in vascular smooth muscle tissue, and it located in cytoskele-ton.
