ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to investigate the expression of Transgelin in ovarian serous tumors and understand its role in ovarian serous carcinoma genesis and progression.MethodsRevers transcription polymerase chain reaction ( RT - PCR) and Western Blot were used to assess the expression of Transgelin mRNA in 38 cases of ovarian serous carcinoma ,14 cases of ovarian borderline serous tumors,11 cases of o-varian benign serous tumors and 10 cases of normal ovary tissues. Results;Positive expression and relative content of Transgelin mRNA was detected in 15.8%, 8.790 ±31. 89 of ovarian serous carcinoma , 64.3% ,40.49 ±29.03 of ovarian borderline serous tumors, 81. 8% ,54. 10 ±24. 82 of ovarian benign serous tumors and 90% ,68.94 ±28.06 of normal ovary tissues by RT - PCR . And there are significant difference of expression of Transgelin mRNA between ovarian serous carcinoma and ovarian borderline serous tumors , ovarian benign serous tumors, normal ovary tissues. The expression of Transgelin mRNA and its relative content(33.3% ,21.70 ±23.09) in early clinical stage( I to II ) were found significant differences to late clinical stage ( HI to IV ) in ovarian carcinoma tissues ( p < 0. 001). In different histological grades ( I , II, III), Positive...
