Objective1 To set up the neonatal rat model of white matter damage (WMD); 2 To explore the mechanism of Fas, caspase-3 on the apoptosis in the WMD neonatal rats; 3 To observe the expression of GDNF protein and to explore the relationship between endogenous GDNF and apoptosis in the WMD neonatal rats. MethodsThe present study was conducted to employ 2nd-day SD rats. A total of 104 rats were randomly divided into experimental group (57) and control group (47).After hypoxia-ischemia 12 pups died in the experimental group and 2 pups died in the control group.
