Methods: The immunohistochemical staining method of Envision was used to evaluate the expression of MMP-9. VEGF and PTEN in 56 cases of breast cancer and 22 cases of benign breast diseases and its correlations to clinicopathologic features were analyzed. Results: (1)The positive incidence of MMP-9 and VEGF expression in 56 cases of breast cancer were 69.64%(39/56)and 78.57% (44/56) respectively, which was improved compared with the expression in benign breast diseases were 45.45% and 36.36% (P<0.05). The higher level expression of PTEN in 56 cases with the rate 46.43%(26/56),which was reduced compared with the expression in benign breast diseases was 86.36%(P< 0.01).(2)The higher level expression of MMP-9 and VEGF rate was higher in the group of axillary lymph node metastasis case than in the group of the case without lymph node metastasis.(P<0.05) Axillary Lymph node metastasis was related to MMP-9 and VEGF expression and there was significantly different between those groups. The expression of MMP-9 and VEGF was positively correlated to axillary lymph node metastasis and pathological stage. The higher level expression of PTEN rate was lower in the group of axillary lymph node metastasis case than in... | | Keywords/Search Tags: | breast cancer, MMP-9, VEGF, PTEN, immunohistochemistry | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
