Objects: To study the dynamic changes of the plasma solubility fibronectin (p-FN) levels and brain CT value in neonates with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE), as well as explore the relationship between them and severity of hypoxic-ischemic brain damage. It can be used to provide the objective evidence in early diagnosis , evaluate the degree of brain damage and study the pathogenesis of HIE.Methods: The plasma FN levels were measured in 49 neonates with HIE and 20 healthy neonates by ELISA. The neonates with HIE were divided into mild HIE group(n=9), moderate HIE group(n=34) and severe HIE group(n=6) according to the clinical diagnosis and classification criteria.CT values were obtained with huanxing simens type of CT.Results: The plasma FN levels descend significantly in neonates with HIE at the age of 0-3 days after birth(P<0.05), furthermore, had a tendency of descending with the severity of HIE. At the acute stage, the plasma FN levels in mild HIE and in moderate HIE and severe HIE were significantly lower than that of recovery stage(P<0.05).The brain CT values of HIE group were much higher the moderate and light group. Besides, the plasma FN levels was found to be positively correlated with the CT values. Conclusions: . The measurement of plasma FN and brain CT values has a important value to decide the degree of HIE, to evaluate the level of the brain damage and estimate the prognosis.
