The aim of the research is to establish the chemical evaluation methods of Radix Acanthopanax senticosus Germplasm resource and the quality control of Radix Acanthopanax senticosus growing in different areas.Si-gel column chromatography to separate compounds needed in assaying of Radix Acanthopanax senticosus was utilized. Four monomers (CS-1~CS-4) has been obtained in leaves stems of Radix Acanthopanax senticosus. The purification of CS-3 and CS-4 was detected and some message of spectrum and chemical structure about β-Sitosterol (CS-1), Eleutheroside A (CS-2), syrigin (CS-3), Syringaresinol diglucoside (CS-4) obtained through UV and IR analysis. A RP-HPLC method , for the first time, was developed to quantify simultaneously the four major active ingredients in Radix Acanthopanax senticosus HARMS, i.e.Chlorogenic Acid, syringaresinol diglucoside, syringin and Isofraxidin. The method enjoys the character of simplicity, stability and convenience, among which, it is the first time to measure the content of Chlorogenic Acid in Radix Acanthopanax senticosus.Based above, the 4 multiple content of Radix Acanthopanax senticosus from Yicun, Dongfanghong, Wuchang, Caihe, Yabuli, Tieli and Hulin were respectively detected, the result of which were then under direct analysis and multiple stepwise regression with the same consequences. It shows that Dongfanghong is the best through assessing the different habitats.
