Acanthopanax Senticosus (Rupr. etMaxim.) Harms belongs to Acanthopanax and mainly distributes in Northeast and North of China with large amount. As medicine, it can be used with root, rhizome, stem and leaf. As a typical drug of securing root and strengthrnning sinew and bone, it has been extensively used for a long time. In modern pharmacological study, it has proved that Acanthopanax senticosus can enhance the capability of non-specificity phylaxis, resist tumor, apolexis, radiation, injury and defatigation; it can also treat the ailment in blood vessel of the cardia and brain, diabetes mellitus, neurasthenia etal. After the sutdies on the physiological activity and chemical composition, it is showed that the efficient constituents of Acanthopanax senticosus Harms are some glycosides of which syringin and Eleutheroside E are the main ones.Used orth- and anti- chromatography column chromatography etal. The author has been gained three composition (CS-1~cs-3) in the stems and bark ofAcanthopanax senticosus medical material.Through the data of physico-, chemical- and spectrum, I have determined there constitutions: Syringin, Syringaresinol and Eleutheroside E.The author have analyzed the amino acids and trace element systemly from the leaf of Acanthopanax senticosus, and found out that there were seven of eight essential amino acids in it with which Leu and Val are the highest; moreover, the author have also found that there are eight kinds of trace element which are necessarily to people in it.The author have found out a method of contents determination with the index of syringin by HPLC. By this method the author have analyzed systematically the syringin contained in different habitat, different age and different situs of Acanthopanax senticosus, and found out that there were great disparity of syringin contained in different Acanthopanax senticosus. The syringin contained in Acanthopanax senticosus grewed in Northeast was higher, and the syringin contained in the stems and barks of Acanthopanax senticosus become higher as the increase of the age.The author have analyzed systematically the polysaccharide contained in the root bark, the stem bark, the leaf and the petiole of Acanthopanax senticosus, and found out that the soly polysaccharide contained in the stem bark was 2.465% more that it contained in the root bark; the crude polysaccharides contained in the stem bark was 0.417% more that it contained in the root bark. The soly and crude polysaccharide contined in the petiole were the highest. From this we acquire that the leaf and the petiole of Acanthopanax senticosus have great value to exploit. The author have determined the content of the total flavonoid in Acanthopanax senticosus, and found out that the total flavonoid in the stem bark becomed lower as the growed of the age. The total flavonoid contained in different part of Acanthopanax senticosus contrast grestly, the highest was the root bark the lower was the stem bark and the lowest was the the petiole. Innovative features:1. The author have improved the extract technology of syringin which can make the purity of syringin to 99%. This technology was simple, safe and suit to produce industrially.2. The author have analyzed the amino acids and trace element from the leaf of Acanthopanax senticosus, and found out that there were several essential amino acids and trace element in it. This provid experiment evidence to make use of the leaf of Acanthopanax senticosus.3. The author have analyzed systematically the syringin, the polysaccharide, the total flavonoid contained in the root bark, the stem bark, the leaf and the petiole of Acanthopanax senticosus that collected from different habitat, different age and different situs. By this the author provid a great deal of experiment evidence to exploit, to utilize and to protect Acanthopanax senticosus.
