As a mechanical vibration wave with frequency in range of 0.0001 to 20Hz, infrasound is an important proportion of the noise in productive environments and living condition. The biological effect of infrasound on the body is wide and complicated, including tissue, organ, cell, molecule and so on. Central nervous system , endocrine system, respiratory apparatus, cardiovascular system, digestive system, auditory system, visual system, blood and genital system can also be involved. In order to protect relevant workers and masses, it is very important to ensure the corresponding infrasonic hygienic standard, which is no unified international standard now. The initial standard proposed by some countries was varied. For instance, the permissible level in Russia was under 90 dB. It could be found in "the standards of noise about the public health and welfare" introduced by the American Environment Protection Institution: infrasound below 130dB was harmless to the public. The limited value of infrasound raised by the Japan Environment Office was 120dB. The safety standard of Germany was not beyond 95dB. Anyway there was no corresponding...
