ObjectiveChemokines are produced by an array of stromal cell types, including immunocompetence cell, macrophages, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and tumor cells. They are small, secreted proteins. Up to now, there have been found over 50 types of chemokines and they are the biggest family of cytokines. They have a major effect in the recruitment and activation of leucocytes in vivo and in vitro. And they play important roles in inflammation, angiogenesis and oncogenesi.Chemokine-like factor super family 8 (CKLFSF8) is a novel cytokine that have been found recently. On chromosome 3, CKLFSF6, 7 and 8 form a gene cluster. CKLFSF8 is the 295—816 cDNA product encoding 173 amino acids. It belongs to the CC chemokine family of CKLF1. CKLFSF8 has four transmembrane (TM) regions and one MARVEL (MAL-related proteins for vesicle trafficking and membrane link domain ) domain. So it has another name-CMTM8 (CKLF-like MARVEL transmembrance domain 8).To investigate the biological activities of this novel cytokine, and to detect its functions on oncogenesi and tumor development, this study chose two tumor cells, BGC823 and K562. Observe the effect on biological activity of tumor cells after being transfeced in vitro. This study may lay the groundwork for further research of anti-tumor immunotherapy and some assistant study.
