The object of this research is normal adult human brains, Quantitative ADC values study of Diffusion-Weighted Imaging using 1.5T MRI, and the research has been divided into two parts:Partâ… : Different methods of quantitative ADC values in normal human brainPurpose: To investigate the better method of quantitative ADC values of normal brain, and provide reference for further research. Materials and methods: Twenty healthy people's MR imaging were reviewed. All of them underwent routine MRI scans and EPI-DWI, and ADC images were reconstructed on workstation. Six ROIs were selected for each object, the mean ADC values were obtained for each position on DWI and ADC images respectively. Results: ADC values measured on DWI were more objective and accurate, and the values directly measured on ADC images were bigger. Conclusions: The quantitative ADC values of Diffusion-Weighted Imaging is better obtained on DWI, and not ADC images.Partâ…¡: The research on correlation between ADC values of normal brain to agePurpose: To investigate the characteristics and regularity of different bran tissues of different age groups, establish the ADC values of different regions of normal brain, and provide the objective evidences for the clinical application and study. Materials and methods: Sixty healthy people's MR imaging were reviewed. All of them underwent routine MRI scans and EPI-DWI, and isotropic Diffusion-Weighted Images were obtained. Twenty-six ROIs were selected for each object, and ADC values were calculated by the formula: ADC=ln(Slow/Shigh)/(bhigh-blow). Results: 1.The mean ADC value in gray matter is the highest jn the brain of healthy people, and white matter followed. The values of basal...
