Partâ… The establishing of diabetic model and whole pancreasticoduodenal transplantation model in the SD ratObjective Established the whole pancreasticoduodenal transplantation in the diabetic rat with microsurgical technique to observe the effect of pancreas transplantation and can be used in basic research of pancreas transplantation. Methods The diabetes mellitus SD rats induced with a dose of 50mg/Kg Alloxan by vein injection as recipients ,and the healthy SD rats were used as donors. The general status of the rats and the levels of blood glucose were observed after pancreasticoduodenal transplantation with microscope. Results It was an effective method to obtain diabetic rat model with a dose of 50mg/Kg Alloxan by vein injection , and the levels of blood glucose were over 16.8mmol/L. The 24h survival rate was 83% after pancreasticoduodenal transplantation in diabetes mellitus rats. The levels of blood glucose in successful transplanted rats returned to normal level during the period of observation. Conclusion 1.It was an effective method to build diabetic rat model with a dose of 50mg/Kg Alloxan by vein injection. 2.The whole pancreasticoduodenal transplantation has good curative effects on the experimented diabetes mellitus in rats.
