ObjectiveThrough dividing the children with repeated respiratory tract infection (RRTI) into different groups in accordance with the constitutions types of TCM and testing the peripheral blood T-lymphocytes subgroups and immunoglobulin to explore the distribution of the constitutions types and the relationships between the constitutions types and the T-lymphocytes subgroups and immunoglobulin of the children with RRTI. We expect the results of the study provide the objective bases for diagnosis and treatment based on the different characteristics of constitutions of TCM . MethodsOne hundred and thirty cases of children with RRTI were classified in different groups based on the characteristic in constitutions and were tested the T-lymphocyte subgroups and Immunoglobulin. In the same time, thirty normal children were observed as contrast. Results1. One hundred and thirty cases of children with RRTI were classified. They were mostly in the groups of the constitutions of Deficiency Of Lung-Qi , Deficiency Of Spleen -Qi and Spleen Infirmness - Damp Deposit.2. The three groups observed were all lower in CD4~+,CD4~+/CD8~+,IgA,IgG, increaser in CD8~+. They had statistical difference compared with the normal children.3. The children in constitution of Spleen Infirmness - Damp Deposit was lower than the children in constitution of Deficiency Of Lung-Qi. It had statistical difference.
