Relations Of The Hearing And Five Zang-Viscera And It's Application On Hearing Loss And Tinnitus

Objective: The essay bases on the clinical practice and expounds the relations of the hearing and five zang-viscera(in the chapter Wu Long Jin Ye Bie of Ling Shu) with the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Discusses the five zang-viscera's relationships with Middle ear, Zhenshui,Tingmai, Tingshen. Belives that hearing depends on assembling voice of auricle, purifing voice of Zhenshui and agitating of Tingshen, then the Tingshen obeyed Yuanshen during Tingmai. Tingmai is the channel of meridians and collaterals and ear , depens on which the viscera affect the hearing. Meanwhile we analyze the distribute characte ristic of syndrome which is collected from 87 patients with deafness and tinnitus. Elaborate the medical theory, the rapeutic methods, prescriptions and medication, achieve the aims of theories guiding clinical practice. Result: From the above studies, we learn the deafness and tinnitus's six syndromes, including syndrome of attack by wind and heat; syndrome of liver fire stirring the upper; syndrome of blood stasis due to qi stagnation; syndrome of stagnation of phlegm and fire; syndrome of yin deficiency of kidney; syndrome of insufficiency of qi and blood. In which the majority is syndrome of yin deficiency of kidney and the minority is syndrome of blood stasis due to qi stagnation. It demonstrates that the abnormal functions of viscera can lead to deafness and tinnitus. So we should change the past view which is curing this disease is strengthening the kidney to regulating functions of viscera. Above all, the whole article develops a new rapeutic method for the deafness and tinnitus.
