| Objective: To explore the current status of prevalence,awareness,treatment and control of hypertension and influential factors in Chongqing. TO establish the foundation for prevention and treatment of the hypertension in Chongqing,Provide theoretical basis. To guide targeted health education in the future.Methods: Adopted the methods of stratified cluster sampling, choose yuzhong district,shapingba district,jiangbei district as the city spot, while choose Wan Zhou district, changshou district, Jiangjin city and Liang ping county as the village spot, and then respectively extracted 1 ~ 2 residential committees (or village) where took people above 15 years old as investigation object,extracted population 5,418 people. People those had been trained qualified to carry out blood pressure related examination and questionnaires survey to investigation object one by one, uniform filling in questionnaires, gained effective questionnaires 5,246.Result: The prevalence rate of hypertension in Chongqing was 18.49%, the standardization rate was 16.65%.
