Studies On The Chemical Constituents And Quality Control Of The Root Bark And The Bud Of Aralia Elata (Miq.)Seem

In our investigation 16 compounds were isolated from the bud of Aralia elata (Miq.)Seem with silica gel, ODS, preparative HPLC, sephadex-LH-20, etc. Among them, 14 compounds were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectral evidence. One of them was a new compound. It was named as Congmuyanoside I (3-O-[ β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→3)-β-D-glucopyranosyl ] caulophyllogenin) (1), Another one of them was a new natural product. It was 3-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→2)]-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)]-α-L- arabinopyransyl hederagenin(14). The other compounds were Congmuyanoside A (2), Congmuyanoside C (3), Congmuyanoside D(4), Congmuyanoside E(5), 3-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→2) -β-D-glucopyranosyl] hederagenin(6), Araloside A(7),Araloside C(8), Congmuyenoside B(9) , Elatoside F(10), Araloside G(11),Congmunoside V(12) and Congmunoside EX(13), respectively.To develop the analytical method to determine the content of Araloside C and Araloside A in the root bark of Aralia elata (Miq.) Seem. by HPLC. The method was convenient, reliable and with good reappearance.
