In our investigation 36 compounds were isolated from "Cilongya", the bud of Aralia elata with silica gel, LPLC, C-18, preparative HPLC, sephadex-LH-20, etc. Among them, 31 compounds were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectral evidence. The ten new compounds were named as Congmuyanoside A (3-O-[ β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→3)-α-L-arabinopyranosyl ] caulophyllogenin) (1), Congmuyanoside B (3-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→2)]-[β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→3)]-β-D-glucopyranosyl echinocystic acid) (2), Congmuyanoside C (3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-D-glucopyranosyl echinocystic acid) (3), Congmuyanoside D (3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-D-glucopyranosyl echinocystic acid) (4), Congmuyanoside E (3-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→2)]-[β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→3)]-β-D-glucopyranosyl caulophyllogenin) (5), Congmuyanoside F (3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→3)-β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→3)-β-D-glucopyranosyl oeanolic acid) (6), Congmuyanoside G (3-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→3)-β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→3)]-[ β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→2)]-β-D-glucopyranosyl hederagenin 28- O-β-D-glucopyranoside) (7), Congmuyanoside H (3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→3)-β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→3)-β-D-glucopyranosyl echinocystic acid) (8), Congmuyaglycoside I (1-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(E)-3-hexene) (9),Congmuyaglycoside II (1-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-3, 7-dimethyl-2,6-heptadiene) (10) ; together with twenty known compounds: Congmuyenoside A (11), Congmuyenoside B (12), Congmunoside VII (13), 3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→3)-α -L-arabinopyranosyl echinocystic acid (14), Adenosine (15), Araloside A (16), Araloside C (17), Congmunoside X V (18), 3-O-[β-D-giucopyranosyl (1→3)-β-D-glucopyranosyl] oleanolicacid-28-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (19), 3-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl] hederagenin (20), Congmunoside X (21), Elatoside F (22), Alaloside G (23), Congmunoside V (24), Congmunoside IX (25), Oleannolic...
