In the present dissertation, the airtight anoxic mouse model and anoxic PC12 cell model were used to guide and isolate anti-anoxic constituents from the aerial parts of Artemisia scoparia. With the results of above bioassay, phytochemical analysis of the aerial parts of Artemisia scoparia has now led to the isolation of sixteen pure compounds. All of their structures were elucidated on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectra methods. Among them, compounds 1 and 3 are new compounds.The two new compounds were established: 3-hydroxy-docosanoic acid-2-(5-acetyl-2,3-dihydro -benzofuran-2-yl)-propyl ester ( 1 ), 2-(3'-methoxyl-3'-methyl-trans-but-1'-enyl)-p-methoxylaceto phenone ( 3 ). The known compounds were determined to be: 2-(5-acetyl-2,3-dihydro-benzo-furan-2-yl)-propyl alcohol ( 2 ), chrysoeriol ( 4 ), 3',4'-Dimethoxy-luteolin ( 5 ), quercetin ( 6 ),rhamnetin ( 7 ), Eriodictyol ( 8 ), 7-O-methyl-Eriodictyol ( 9 ), 7-O-methyl-naringenin ( 10 ), 7-methoxy-3,5-dihythoxy-2,3-dihydroflavone ( 11 ), 6-Demethoxy-capillarisin ( 12 ), 8-Methoxy-6,7-methyl enedioxycoumarin ( 13 ), Artemicapin A ( 14 ), 2,4-dihydroxy-6-methoxy-acetophenone ( 15 ) , stigma-sterol(16 ). Among them, compounds( 1 ), ( 2 ), ( 3 ), ( 5 ), ( 7 ), ( 8 ), ( 9 ), (10 ), ( 11 ), ( 12 ), ( 13 ), ( 15 ) are first time discovered from Artemisia scoparia.Some compounds on anti-anoxic effect of PC12 cell were also studied. The results indicated that the compounds 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16 have a good activity. On basis of the above test, the DPPH radical scavenging activity of compounds ( 1 ), ( 2 ), ( 4 ), ( 5 ), ( 7 ), ( 8 ), ( 9 ), ( 10 ), ( 13 ), ( 14 ), ( 15 ), ( 16 ) and the IC50 values of compounds 7, 8, 9, 13 were tested, pilot study on SAR(structure-activity relationship) was based on the IC50 values of the components. This research will be providing a preliminary direction for the research and development of Artemisia scoparia in the future.
