QGK injection is made up of diammonium glycyrrhizinate and Panax notoginoside by screening test. The protective effects of QGK injection on liver injury were studied. The results showed that QGK injection could degrade the contents of ALT, AST and the total bilirubin in serum ,inhibit the production of liver fibrosis. The results showed that the activities of alanine aminotransferase , aspartate aminotransferase were significantly decreased in CCl4- induced or D-GalN-induced or ATT-induced acute liver injury mice pretreated with QGK (70.0mg/kg,35.0mg/kg,17.5mg/kg. iv.),at the same time ,the contents of SOD in liver were increased and the contents of MDA were degraded .Pretreatment with QGK(50.0mg/kg,25.0mg/kg,12.5mg/kg )could decreased the activities of ALT, AST in serum of chronic liver injury rats induced by CCl4. It could also increase the quantity of total protein and albumin in serum , elevate the function of liver.QGK injection has the function of promoting the excretion of rat's bile .Pretreatment with QGK(50.0mg/kg,25.0mg/kg,12.5mg/kg )could inhibit the increase of total bilirubin in serum on ANIT-induced liver injury in rats.Pretreatment with QGK(50.0mg/kg,25.0mg/kg,12.5mg/kg )could inhibit the production of liver fibrosis on CCl4- induced liver fibrosis in rats. The results indicated that the contents of the collagen in extracellular matrix were visibly decreased the amount of hydroxyproline in liver were reduced .
