The Studies On The Anti-Inflammatory Effects And Mechanisms Of FYC

The activities of anti-inflammation, analgesia, immunomodulation of FYC(Fufang Yuxingcao Capsule) and the involved mechanisms were observed.The ear swelling induced by xylene and increased capillary permeability induced by acetic acid in mice were inhibited significantly by FYC(0.13, 0.26, 0.52 g·kg^-1). Moreover, The paw edema caused by carrageenie and fresh egg white, the granulation tissue hyperplasia induced by cotton and agar, the pleural exudate volumes and WBC count in the exudates induced by carrageenin in rats could be suppressed by FYC at the dose of 0.091, 0.182, 0.364 g·kg^-1, which showed that FYC may act as a therapeutic agent for acute and chronic inflammation.The index of spleen, the clearance rate of charcoal particles, the production of hemolysin immunized with SRBC and the delayed type hypersensitivity reaction induced by DNCB in mice treated with cyclophosphamide could be remarkedly enhanced by FYC(0.13, 0.26, 0.52 g·kg^-1). In contrast, statistically significant increase in those parameters were not be observed in normal mice after FYC administration.The formaldehyde-induced pain and acetic acid induced writhing in mice were significantly eased by FYC(0.13, 0.26, 0.52 g·kg^-1).The anti-inflammatory activities of FYC were weakened in the bilaterally adrenalectomized rats, the ability of FYC to decrease the content of VitamineC in adrenal glands in Dexamethasone-treated rats is less than in normal rats.FYC(0.26, 0.52 g·kg^-1 could decrease the content of PGE₂ and...
