Glaucoma is one of the main cause of blindness in the world, the mechanism of glaucoma is not unknown.Recently,heat shock protein 27 is a main antigen in glaucoma sufferer. The expression of heat shock protein 27 antigen in ganglion cells may protect ganglion cells.But heat shock protein 27 antibody can make retinal ganglion cells apoptosis. Objective: To observe heat shock protein 27 antibody in blood serum in experimental rat glaucoma model and study the apoptosis of retinal ganglion cells. Method: 51 Wistar rats were divided into the ocular hypertension group(34), Sham control group (17)in random.Intraocular pressure (IOP)was elevated by electrocoagulation fo 3 episcleral and limbal veins in the right eye of rats.After operation of 1 week, 2W, 4W, 6W, 8W,we make rats death. Before death,we measure intraocular pressure of two eyes of each rat and gather blood Serum 1ml for ELISA. So we can know the level of heat shock protein 27 antibody in blood serum .At the same time, we make the eyes of rats into slice up of paraffin and observe the apoptosis of retinal ganglion cells of each rat eyes by method of TUNEL (terminal deoxynucleotidy transferase mediated X-duTP nick end labeling ).A11 results are analyzed by method of statistics. ResuIts:The right eye of intraocular hypertension group was obviously elevated. The intraocular pressure before operation: 15.00±2.498 (mmHg) .after operation 3days: 27.44±2.776 (mmHg) ,2W: 33.96±2.603 (mmHg), 8W: 35.50±2.390 (mmHg) .The difference was obviously visible between right eye of...
