Friction plays an important role in retention. In fixed prosthesis, a friction system, dentin-adhesive agent-cast alloy system, which is hold together by static friction, is comprised of the dentin, adhesive agent and cast alloy. In order to analyze the retention force in quantity, the friction coefficients of the friction system are needed as data base. Purpose: to measure the static friction coefficient between the dentin and adhesive agent, adhesive agent and cast alloy and to provide data base for the retention analysis in fixed prosthesis, especially the crown and metal post. And to compare the friction properties of the dentin before and after sandblasting by simulating intraorally sandblast. Analyze the role of different friction systems in retention primarily. Materials and methods:1. Design and realization of the static friction coefficient apparatus fit for dental materials and tooth tissue according to bevel approach. And devise a sensor matching for the apparatus according to the principle of photoelectricity transducer.
