Fagopyrum dibotrys, a perennial herbage of Polygonaceae, is a precious herbal medicine and has adapted well to 500-3000m altitude. It has markedly amticancer effects. Through extract and separate from F. dibotrys, rutin, quercetin, hecogenin, 5 — 5'—di-α—furaldehyde dimethyl ether, succinic acid,(—) epicatechin,3-galloyl (—) epicatechin and procyanidin etc. can be obtained. The extracts were a kind of medicine active principal and useful position, so it worthy to research the resourceful plant. The methods and the results were below:1,In this article, 6 bacteria and 13 fungus to test the different function of anti-bacteria of the 6 products of rhizome, stems and leaves of F. dibotrys. They were investigated through different abstracting solvents. The tube broth method and the cup-plate method were adopted to study antimicrobial activity in vitro of the extracts from F. dibotrys. The results suggested that F. dibotrys extracts have strong antibacterial action in vitro, and the extracts have high inhibition on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus thuringiensis, Diplococcus catarrhalis, Mastigomycotina, Candida albicans, Pestalotia funereal, Rhizoctonia solani, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Curvularia Lunata (walk) Boed, Gibberelle zeae (schw) and Trichoderma viride.2,Total flavones in rhizome, stems and leaves of F. dibotrys was extracted with 60% alcohol by refluxing at 70℃ in a Soxhlet's extractor after removal of its...
