Objective: The study was to investigate the effects of area changes of the midgastric transverse band (MTB) on gastric emptying time in functional dyspepsia patients. Methods: Twenty-five gastric function dyspepsia( FD) patients, Big dosage healthy subjects 10 cases and 18 age-matched healthy subjects underwent gastric emptying imaging with SPECT. The semi-solid test meal was marked by 99mTc-DTPA ( Diethylene triaminepentaacetica acid ). The whole test take 90 minutes. The ROI (region of interest) of the whole stomach and per region was drawed by hand or automatism. From gastric emptying curve, we can know the half emptying time of the whole gastric and the area of the whole gastric, proximal gastric , MTB and distal gastric. The percent of gastric different area were counted.Result: The whole gastric emptying time of FD groups and Big dosage groups increased obviously. There was significant difference compared to contrast groups. There was not significant difference between former two groups, FD group 56.25±3.12;Big dosage group 63.18 ± 4.98; Healthy subjects 43.56 + 2.04. To the proximal gastric area percent, the significance was only existed in BDHS group compared with HS group. To MTB area percent , there was significant difference just only in FD group. Distal gastric area percent increased in FD group. There were relation: between MTB area percent and GET1/2 at...
