OBJECTIVE: To comprehend the correlation between the levels of Blood Vessel Endothelium Injury Factors ACA, hs-CRP and the characters of carotid artery plaque as well as the correlation between the two factors themselves, to provide reference and supports for intervention of carotid artery plaque and prevention and cure of cerebral arterial thrombosis.METHOD: Bilateral common carotid artery and internal carotid artery of all the cerebral infarction patients were probed by color Doppler. These patients were divided into light, middle, heavy, very heavy degree of angiostenosis and vascular occlusion groups according to the extent of pathological changes of carotid artery, then based on the different characters of plaque, we divided the above groups again to stable plaque subset and unstable plaque subset. The hs-CRP and ACA levels in blood serum of all the 70 patients and other 50 cases in normal control group were tested together, then the differences of hs-CRP and ACA levels between the subsets and the correlation of hs-CRP and ACA were analyzed.RESULTS: 1. Simple changes in carotid artery segments out of craniumtook proportion of 50. 3% in all the acute cerebral infarction patients(80/159) . Among 70 patients with carotid artery changes, the totalnumber of cases with light degree of angiostenosis were 43 (61.42%)...
