Objective To measure the BDV p24 gene among viral encephalitis patients and investigate the sequence discrepancies of BDV p24 gene.It also intended to investigate the correlation between BDV infection ,viral encephalitis patients of NingXia ,and lay an experimental and theoretic basis for aetiological diagnosis, prevetion and treatment of some human neuropsychiatric disorders as well.Methods FQ-nRT-PCR was used to detect BDV p24 gene from CSF and PBMCs of viral encephalitis patients and normal contral of NingXia province. positive FQ-nRT-PCR products were sequenced and Molecular clonging compared with standard strains.Results The positive rate of the BDV p24 fragment in the PBMCs and CSF in the unknown causes of viral encephalitis (6.5%) was significantly high (P<0.05).The sequence of the BDV p24 fragment from the patients with viral Encephalitis was in conformity,and its homogeneity corresponding to the sequence of BDV standard strains was 96%.It was present 3 situs consistency mutation (nt nt1686T→C,nt1667 A→G,nt1670C→T,with mutation rate 3%)compared with C6BV,2 situs consistency mutation (nt 1673 C→T,nt 1676 T→C,with mutation rate 2%);compared with BDV/MDCK,and 4 situs consistency mutation (nt 1649 T→C,nt 1670 C→T,nt 1673 C→T,nt 1694 A→G, with mutation rate 5%)compared with strain V.But there no change of encoding amino acids in all BDV p24 fragment from neuropsychiatric disorders.
