Objective To explore the nutritional status of lactating mother and its effect on the concentration of minerals in human milk, analyse the effectiveness of interventions to their nutrition status, which could provide testmony to enhance the maternal and child health service . Methods ①240 healthy lactating mothers were investigated, age from 23 to 39, came from hospital and Maternal and Child Health Institute. All of them knew our study and were volunteers. Devided them into two groups, one would been given nutrition instruction and another would not. ② Knowledge, attitude and practice on nutrition were investigated through KAP questionaire survey. Their dietary consumption and nutriments' intake were studied by 24-h food recall. They were requested to write down the name and the amount of the food, fruit, sock and all other things they had eaten accurately, then the questionaires were checked and finally the average calories and several kinds of nutriments one person daily intake were figured out. The result of nutriments' intake were compared with Dietary Reference Intakes. ③Milk samples were collected when we acting investigation. The concentrition of nutriments in human milk were analyzed using colorimetry, titration and atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The data were analysed by EXCEL and SPSS11.0. Results The practice of lactating mother were not reasonabal, but their attitudes were very well. The component of diets one month after post partum was rather rational, the intake of eggs was more higher, which was 141.08g/d, the legume was the lowest, which was 10.69g/d, the fruit only 306.33g/d. The intake of energy only 73.44% of DRIs, and most minerals they consumed were more than 90% of DRIs except Ca, Zn,the intake of Ca and Zn were 59% and 64.56% of DRIs. The concentrition of Ca,Fe, Mn, Mg, Cu,Zn in milk were 0.34g/L,0.61mg/L,29.8μg/L,35.5mg/L,0.35mg/L,2.20mg/L respectively. The intake of Ca,Zn,Mn and their concentration in milk had significient corelation. The instruction significiently enhanced the lactating mother's nutritionla knowledge, and improved their nutrition status. Conclusion ①The evidence that unbalanced nutrition intake, for example, the egg in component of diets of lactating mothers is higher, the legume is lower, the intake of energy, Zn, Ca is not enough, is strict, which should be paid more attention.②The intake of Ca, Zn, Mn and their concentration in milk had significient corelation. The lactating mother should intake more food that is rich in Ca, Zn, Mn to improve their concentration in milk. ③Rational instruction can improve lactating mother's nutritional status.
