| Objective:Hypercholesterolemia may cause increase of blood inflammatory factors and change of fatty acid (FA) components in erythrocyte membrane. The aim of this study is to observe the influence of treatment with rosuvastatin or simvastatin on the inflammatory factors and components of membrane FA in hypercholesterolemic patients. Methods:Part One:After 4-week diet treatment, 30 patients with hypercholesterolemia demonstrated by low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C) values>3.64mmol/L for three times, were included in an 8-week parallel comparisons, double blind treatment trial with rosuvastatin or simvastatin. The fasting serum lipid was measured at the end of 4-week and 8-week, and the serum hs-CRP and IL-6 were measured too.Part Two:Seven hypercholesterolemic patients from part one and seven ortholiposis out-patient were included. The patients were treated with rosuvastatin for 4 weeks. The erythrocyte before and after treatment were kept to measured the FA. The erythrocyte was broken and the cell membrane was extracted with centrifugalization. FA was extracted with the methyl alcohol and the chloroform. Twenty two kinds of FA were determined with the gas chromatography analysis. |
