The extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) has been applied widely in clinic as the assistantly medical treatment apparatus which can replace partly the function of lung. At present, however, all kinds of the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) can not provide adequate oxygen for an adult. In the experiment, Co (Ⅱ) -S-EPDM ionomer is used to improve the exchange of gas-blood in ECMO and to study further on the aritifical lung.Co(Ⅱ) -S-EPDM ionomer membrane used as gas separation membrane has better property to separate CO2. Morever, it is easily aging in the air at room temperature. The antioxidant2246 is used to improve the antiaging property of Co(Ⅱ)-S-EPDM. The results show that the antiaging property of Co(Ⅱ) -S-EPDM ionomer membrane is increased obviously. At the same time, the permeability coefficient for CO2 is decreased due to the addition of antiaging agent. On the contrary, the permeability coefficient for CO2 is increased slightly and elevated about 10 Barren The blood-compatibility of Co(Ⅱ) -S-EPDM ionomer membrane is examined. The result shows that Co(Ⅱ)-S-EPDM ionomer membrane has better anti- hemolytic property, anti-cruor property and anti-thrombus property. When the heparin is added into the ionomer membrane containing cobalt, the anti-cruor property and anti-thrombus property of the membrane are increased and but the permeability coefficient for CO2 is reduced. The tinysieve-chinatube is used as an exterior material for aritifical lung and the ionomer membrane has been dipped-coat on the inside surface of the tube. Under the pressure difference of 0.02 MPa and 40℃, the permeation capability of CO2 and O2 are 6L/min·m2 and 2.8 L/min·m2, respectively. The tinysieve-chinatube coated by Co(Ⅱ)-S-EPDM ionomer membrane can be kept for more times at room temperature and its permeation property can not be affected.In conclusion, the work solve the aging problem of Co(Ⅱ) -S-EPDM ionomer membrane of which has better anti-hemolytic property, anti-cruor property and anti-thrombus property. The application of tinysieve-chinatube which is used for the ionomer membrane shows a potential foreground in the field of gas separation.
