Objective To analyse the angiographic characteristics of coronary heart disease (CHD) complicated with type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM) . Methods A total of 100 CHD patients diagnosed by coronary angiography were divided into two groups based on the concurrence with DM(40 patients)or not(60 patients). The dangerous factors and the angiographic characteristics of all the patients were analysed and the effect of micro -albuminuria on the vessel lesions of coronary arteries in the group of CHD with type 2 DM were evaluated. Results The group in DM patients suffered more from myocardial infarction, hypertension than the group in patients without DM (P<0. 05). The DM patients had higher serum triglyceride level and body mass index(BMI) than the patients without DM(P<0. 05). diffuse and multi-vessel lesions of coronary arteries are more common in coronary heart disease(CHD)complicated with type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM) than CHD without DM. in addition , CHD with type 2 diabetes mellitus patients who had micro -albuminuria have more diffuse vascular lesions and lowest LVEF. Conclusion there are more complicated and severe vessel lesions in CHD withtype 2 diabetes mellitus(DM).
