[Objective] To investigate the relationship between cholecystolithiasis, cholecystectom-y and colon carcinoma.[Methods] Compaired the percentage of 564 colon carcinoma patients as test group with 499 gastric cancer patients as control group. All cases in both groups were admitted into the second affiliated hospital Zhejiang university college of medicine during Jan.2000 to Oct.2006. Calculate the patients with cholecystectomy, cholecystolithiasis, fullfilled gallstones , gallstones incarceration in collum vesicae biliaris, polypoid lesions of gallbladder, cholesterol crystallization in cholecystis in two groups.make a x~ 2 test statistical analysis with the sexual factor.[Results ] A 2 × 3 table x~ 2 test showed:there is a highly significant disparation in thepercentage of cholecystolithiasis, cholecystectomy between the test group and the control group (male x~2=23.61, P<0.01; female x ~2=7.79, P<0.05; total x ~2=33.29, P<0.01) .A 2 × 2 table x ~2 test showed that there is highly significant disparations in the percentage of cholecystectomy, cholecystolithiasis, fullfilled gallstones except female cholecystectomy and female fullfilled gallstones (cholecystectomy male x ~2=8.90, P<0.01, OR=7.11, 95%CI 1.96-25.8; total x~2=12.1, P<0.01, OR=4.29, 95%CI 1.89-9.75; cholecystolithiasis male x ~2=13.65, P<0.01, OR=2.82, 95%CI 1.63-4.90; female x~2=4.63, P<0.05, OR=2.22, 95%CI 1.07-4.60; total x~2=12.11, P<0.01, OR=4.29, 95%CI 1.89-9.75; fulfilled gallstones male x ~2=5.90, P<0.01, OR=5.42, 95%CI 1.39-21.2; total x~2=5.95, P<0.05, .OR=4.21, 95%CI 1.33-12.4) . There is no significant disparation in the percentage of polypoid lesions of gallbladder, cholesterol crystallization in cholecystis between the test group and the control group. [Conclusion] Cholecystolithiasis, especially with fullfilled gallstones , gallstones incarcerationin collum vesicae biliaris cholecystectomy may be one of the Risk factor ofcolon carcinoma. Fullfilled gallstones is a important reason that whycholecystolithiasis induce to colon carcinoma.
