A Clinical Study Of Panretinal Photocoagulation Combined With Chinese Medicines In The Treatment Of Diabetic Retinopathy

Objective:To observe the therapeutic efficacy of the two methods to treat the diabetic retinopathy(DR) between the panretinopathy photocoagulation(PRP) combined with the medicine and the PRP only,make up the shortage of the effect of PRP ,look for the valid treatment for the DR.Methods:Clinically collected the 35 patients (67eyes) diagnosed as 2 diabetes concurrent withâ…¢-â…£DR,patients are divided into observed group (34eyes)and contrasted group(33eyes) at random,the therapy course is 3 months.the observed group the PRP combined with the medicine,the contrasted group treated by the PRP only. These eyes are checked respectively by the vision,F-ERG, mfERG, FFA before and after treating 3 month later. All of the data are analyzed by the statistics,then evalute the clinical effect.Results:(1)After treating 3 month later,the observed group,32.35% the vision improvement,47.06% the vision no change,20.59% the vision decreased; the contrasted group,27.27% the vision improvement, 33.33% the vision no change,39.39% the vision decreased; there is no significant difference between before and after treating (p>0.05) ,but the increased,stable eyes of the observed group is obviously higher than the contrasted group,and the descend eyes is less.(2)After treating 3 month later,retinal microaneurysms,cappillary nonperfusion areas and retinal neovascularization are nearly regression, there is no significant difference between two groups for retinal microaneurysms,cappillary nonperfusion areas (p>0.05); the observed group was superior to the contrasted group for retinal neovascularization(p<0.05) .(3) After treating 3 month later,to the different type of macular edema ,the absorption of focal macular edema is best,the cystoid macular edema is worst, the observed group was superior to the contrasted group for the absorption of macular edema (p<0.05) .(4) After treating 3 month later, two groups both improve altitude sum of Ops(P<0.05). there was significant difference between two groups (P<0.05), the observed group was superior to the contrasted group, the inner layer of retina can gain more oxygen and blood supplied for the observed group.(5) After treating 3 month later,for mf-ERG, the absolute value of responding density of wave P₁ of two groups have both improvement(p<0.05),there was significant difference between two groups, the observed group was superior to the contrasted group(P<0.05); After treating ,delitescence of wave P₁ of the observed group decurtate, the contrasted group is no change, there was significant difference between two groups, the observed group was superior to the contrasted group(P<0.05),the retinal function of macular area get the improvement better.(6) The total effectiveness of the observed group was 79.41%,the total effectiveness of the contrasted group was 60.61%, there were significant diffience between the two groups(P<0.05);Conclusion:The panretinopathy photocoagulation uniting with traditional Chinese medicine (decotion-GeQiFuMingâ…¢)has more superior curative effect than panretinopathy photocoagulation only on treating the diabetic retinopathy.
