Objective: To evaluate the expression and localization of hnRNP A2/B1in endometriosis. Methods: Samples were obtained from three normal proliferate-stageendometria of young married and healthy women, three ovarianendometriosis and three eutopic endometria of three patients. Theexpression of hnRNPA2/B1 was examined by immunohistochemistry andWestern blot with a specific polyclonal antibody.Result: hnRNP A2/B1 was located in the nucleus of both epithelialglands and stroma. The expression level of hnRNP A2/B1 in theendometriotic tissues and the eutopic endometria of patients withendometriosis were weaker than those in the normal endometria(bothP<0.05).The difference between the endometriotic tissues and eutopicendometria were insignificant (P>0.05). Conclusion: hnRNP A2/B1 may play an important role in thepathogenesis of endometriosis.
