【Objective】To understand the influence to the neuron and glia cell by studying theexpression of bFGF, VEGF in monkey of resuscitation after selective cerebralultra-deep hypothermia and blood flow occlusion.【Method】Nine 4-10 years old rhesus were divided into two groups: ordinarytemperature group, profound hypothermia group. Exposed bilateral external jugularveins(EJVs), bilateral external carotid artery (ECAs), bilateral internal carotid artery(ICAs) and bilateral internal jugular vein(IJVs), Right IJV intubated to monitorcentral venous pressure(CVP). A catheter was inserted into right ICA to infuse coldRinger's solution, two catheters were distally and proximally inserted into IJV toextract the hypothermic diluted blood for ultrafiltration and then perfuse the warmblood into the right venae cava inferior after rewarming. Total body was heparinizatedbefore reduce the temperature. Both ICA were clamped 10 minutes. Then the bothEJVs and the left IJV were clamped about 60 minutes. 4℃cold solution wasimmediately perfused into the right ICA to induce the brain to cool less 16℃.After 60minutes, Perfusion was stoped and blood vessels were recovered blood stream tocause brain physio-rewarming. MRI was examinated Preoperative and postoperative.Operation changes of hemodynamics were measured; the dysfunctional scales ofneurology were done every week. then kill the survival monkeys after breeding them12 weeks. Immunohistochemical technique was used to detect frontal cellular level ofbFGF, VEGF protein expression in the ordinary temperature group, profoundhypothermia group respectively. Statistics were analyzed with significance level atP<0.05. 【Results】The maca mulatta model of resuscitation after selective cerebral ultra-deephypothermiac blood flow occlusion was succeeded to build up, the hemodynamicalparameters were steady during the operation, and all of them lived up for ever, MRIwere normal after operation and the function of neurological deficient scale wasnormal, the monkeys of ordinary temperature group were not resuscitation afterperfusion and died. The level of bFGF protein expression was significantly higher inthe profound hypothermia group than ordinary temperature group (P<0.01), ButVEGF on the contrary(P<0.05).【Conclusion】It is safety that monkey resuscitate from selective cerebral ultra-deephypothermia and blood flow occlusion of bilateral internal carotid for 60 min and it isnormal to the hemodynamical parameters, brain and nervous function, ultra-deephypothermia can increase the expression ofbFGF protein and inhibit the expression ofVEGF protein persistently, It is an endogenous self-protective mechanism for helpingto maintain neuron survival and to recover neural function.
