The Clinic Curative Effect Of Tonifying Qi And Promoting Blood On Spermatic Activity And Epididymal Function In Varicocele Infertility

【Objective】To observe the clinic curative effect of the principle of tonifying Qi and promoting blood on varicocele infertility, spermatic activity and a-glycosidase. To discuss the adjustive effection of it to epididymal function ang to explore the possible mechanism of improving the motility of sperm by traditional Chinese medicine.【Methods】38 cases of varicocele infertility were treated by Buzhongyiqi decoction and nuaiyujian(basic composition: Milkvetch root, Black cohosh root, Bupleuri vadix, Chinense angelica, Pagodatree flower, Danshen root, Dodder seed, Palmleaf raspberry pruit, Mulberry son). To assess the spermatic activity and a-glycosidase at planned time. All the seminal were analysised by CASA, test the a-glycosidase by the principle of Duixiao jifen. All the data were analysised by SPASS10.0.【Results】In 3 month of 38 varicocele infertility patients there was significant effection, the effective rate was 21 cases were marked effective(55.26%), 13 cases effective (34.21%)and 4 cases ineffective (10.53%), the total effective ratebeing 89.47%.0n the other hand, the longer course of disease had negative correlation with the results. After treatment the spermatic activity and a-glycosidase were markedly increased in contrast to before. (P＜0.01). The linear regression equation by analysis of variance for spermatic activity and a-glycosidase was F=0.058 (P＞0.05).【Conclusion】The principle of tonifying Qi and promoting blood to cure varicocele infertility is effective. It could improve both the vitality of sperm and the function of epidiymal. The improvement of the function of epididymal is believed to be one of the causes that cure lower sperm vitality. And other relative factors need further study.
