Expression Of Matrix Metalloproteinase (MMP-2/MT1-MMP) And Its Inhibitor (TIMP-2) In Epithelial Tumor Of Ovarian

we researched expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2),membrane type-1 matrix metalloproteinase(MT1-MMP),tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase (TIMP-2) in ovarian carcinoma,borderline tumors of ovarian,benign tumors of ovarian,mormal ovarian tissues by Envinson To explore their function in invasion and metastasis,and the degradation of ECM, as well as to find the theory support for TIMP-2 applied to ovarian carcinoma therapy. Result showed expression of MMP-2,MT1-MMP,TIMP-2 in ovarian carcinoma is the highest, that in borderline tumor is lower, while that in normal ovarian is the lowest.We also researched the relationship between their expression and ovarian carcinoma.Result showed their expression was higher in advanced carcinoma(Ⅲ～Ⅳstage)than in early carcinoma(Ⅰ～Ⅱstage),in poorly-differentiated carcinoma(G3 grade)than in well-differentiatedcarcinoma (G1～G2 grade),and in positive lymphaticmetastasis group than in negative lymphaticmetastasis group. It is also observed expression of MMP-2,MT1-MMP and TIMP-2 in ovarian cancer correlated highly-positive.To sum up, the following conclusions could be drawn out from this study:⑴co-incressed expression of MMP-2,TIMP-2,MT1-MMP may help diagnose ovarian cancer in early stage ;⑵They might be indicators for judging characteristic of ovarian carcinoma and prognosis;⑶TIMP-2 could be applied to ovarian carcinoma therapy.
