Objective: To investigate the mechanism of the effects of endome-triosis on humam endometrium receptivity and provide the knowledgefor treating endometriosis-induced infertility, C-fos protein and integrinβ3 subunit were detected in eutopic endometrium during implantation win-dow.Methods: The endometrium was collected from 20 patients withendometriosis and 10 control patients during implantation window.Immunohistochemical method was used to investigate the expression ofc-fos protein and integrinβ3 subunit in endometrium. The results wereanalysed by two-sample T test and linear Correlative Analyse.Results: The results of this study showed that endometrium frompatients with endometriosis expressed higher c-fos protein (P<0.05).Themean gray scale of c-fos protein in eutopic endometrium during implan-tation window in endometriosis was 117.98±12.85and that in the con-trols was 136.04±17.86.Significantly fewer integrinβ3 subunit wasexpressed compared with that in the controls (P<0.05). The mean grayscale of integrinβ3 subunit between the research subjects and controlswas141.63±13.27 and 110.78±12.88.No relationship between c-fos protein and integrinβ3 subunit were found (r=-0.345,p>0.05).Conclusion: First, it is found that c-los protein is increased inpatients with endometriosis,which may change the endometrial enviro-nment for embryo implantation. Second, integrinβ3 subunit expressiondecreases significantly in patients with endometriosis as compared withthat in the controls, which may defect the human endometrium receptivityand interfer the implantation of blastocyst.
