Objectives:To explore the impact of environmental factors, dailylifestyle, psycho-social factors and the interactions on systemic lupuserythematosus(SLE).Methods: A hospital-based case-control study was conucted in the Tianjinfrom January 2004 to December 2004.122 normal women as a control and 121women cases with SLE were recruited. The cases were considered to be SLEpatients diagnosed by SLE diagnostic standard and the controls wereconsidered to be healthy individual without SLE. All the informations wascollected by questionnaire in face-to-face interview, which includedemographic data, disease history, catamenia and procreant data, behaviorpattern, dietetic habit and social psychologic character. Unconditionallogistic regression and ultivariate logistic regression were used toanalysis the effect of collected factors on the risk of the SLE.Results:1.Results from univariate logistic regression analysis showedthat the following factors were significantly associated with theoccurrence of SLE with OR:marriage 1.718(95%CI:1.004~2.938), inhabitancyenvironment 19.888 (95%CI:5.960~66.368), aquosity 3.601(95%CI:1.385~9.364), other connective tissue disorder 14.875(95%CI:3.429~64.523), medication allergy 9. 523 (95%CI:3.583~25.311),sunlight hypersusceptibility 19.780 (95%CI:4.607~84.922), tetter 5.318(95%CI:2.431~11.632), lymphangitis 8.815 (95%CI:2.563~30.320),tonsillitis 4.063 (95%CI:2.140~7.715), no reason fever 33.056 (95%CI:9.953~109.786), tubercle bacillus 6.606 (95%CI:1.446~30.179),pregnancy 1.874 (95%CI:1.874~3.135),induced abortion 6.189(95%CI:3.012~12.716), sterilization operation 32.842(95%CI:4.377~246.427),mother' s age when the one was born 1.079(95%CI:1.017~1.145), sleeping condition 1.797(95%CI:1.279~2.523),tattoo 3.270 (95%CI:1.456~7.343),misfortune in daily life 5.200(95%CI:0.899~14.238), tension in work 49.244 (95%CI:0.619~366.386), notharmonious family life 25.410 (95%CI:0.359~192.220), accept criticism0.408(95%CI:0.268~0.624), share in unhappiness 0.566(95%CI:0.360~0.891),family numbers understand 0.542(95%CI:0.334~0.879), understandsensation0.502 (95%CI:0.310~0.813), comprehend the family numbers 0.554(95%CI:0.342~0.896),receive the help 0.660 (95%CI:0.472~0.924).2. The results of multi-logistic analysis showed that the followingfactors were siginificantly associated with SLE: medication allergy, sunlight hypersusceptibility, non reason fever, inducedabortion, tension in work with OR: 10.568 (95%CI:2.984~37.424), 29.096(95%CI:5.503~153.841),40.689(95%CI:10.584~156.422), 96.304(95%CI:11.595~799.896),12.797(95%CI:4.937~33.166).3. Interaction between environmental factors were medication allergy andinduced abortion, medication allergy and tension in work with OR 13.321(95%CI:1.704~104.136), 10.901 (95%CI:1.373~86.535).Conclusion: Many environmental factors were related to SLE: medicationallergy, sunlight hypersusceptibility, non reason fever, inducedabortion, tension in work were risk factors.
