| The genus Actinidia of the family Actinidiaceae, deciduous or evergreen vines, consists of ca 66 species, most of which are native to China. A. chinensis as folk medicine is used for treatment of the cancer of esophagus, stomach, breast and large intestine cancer with good therapeutic effect. Considering less phytochemical research as well as abundant resources, the chemical constituents in the root of A. chinensis, collected in Kaili city Guizhou Province, were studied in this paper. In conjuntiong with the use of several kinds of column chromatographys, 14 compounds were isolated with from the EtOAc fraction according to anti-tumor bioassay-guided. On the basis of spectral analyses (MS, IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR), 13 known compounds were elucidated as 2α-hydroxyursolic acid (1), 23-hydroxyursolic acid (2), 2α, 24-dihydroxyursolic acid (3), Jacoumaric acid (4), 3β-O-acetylursolic acid (5), euscaphic acid (6), 2α, 3α, 23-trihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid (7), 2α, 3α, 23-trihydroxyurs-12, 20 (30)-dien-28-oic acid (8), 2α-hydroxyoleanolic acid (9), stigmastane-3β, 6α-diol (10), sitoindoside I (11), (22E, 24R)-ergosta-4, 6, 8, (14), 22-tetraen-3-one (12),β-steriol (13). Compounds 1 ~ 12 were found from the root of A. chinensis for the first time. The results above enrich the understanding on phytochemistry of Actinidia L. plants and A. chinensis, and provide a foundation for the further research on active constituents (antineoplastic compounds) and rational utilization of Actinidia L. plants resources. |
