Objective: Discuss the relativity of dispersing and descending functions of Lung and pulmonary system disease; investigate the proportion of deviation from dispersing and descending functions of lung in chronic bronchitis; observe the effect of dispersing ability of lung Qi in the treatment of chronic bronchitis. Methods: 1.Clinical investigation: Collected 230 patients of chronic bronchitis. All the patients were analyzed the proportion of deviation from dispersing and descending functions of lung in chronic bronchitis. 2. Clinical trial: All the patients were randomly divided into three groups which were single Chinese medication group (group A), single western medicine group (group B) and the combined Chinese and western medicine group(group C). 10 days is a period of treatment. The changes of clinical symptoms and laboratory index in all the patients were observed before and after treatment. Results: 1. Clinical investigation: In the data of 230 patients, 215 patients (93.48%) belong to deviation from dispersing and descending functions of lung. 2. Clinical trial: The effect of group A and C is superior to that of group B. The effects of group A and group C are similar, which can improve clinical symptoms and signs of the patients of chronic bronchitis. Conclusion: Deviation from dispersing and descending functions of lung is the main pathogenesis of pulmonary system disease. It is indicated that deviation from dispersing and descending functions of lung plays an important role in syndrome differentiation of chronic bronchitis. The method of dispersing and descending lung Qi has obvious effect in treating chronic bronchitis.
