The Study Of Wang Hongxu's Theory On Dorsal Furuncle

This article focused on collecting and sorting ancient reco rd about superficial infection. It extracted the developing process of superficial infection by the means of TCM theory and TCM bibliography. It also deeply studied the biographical sketch and works of Wang Hongxu, the formation, content, the syndrome differentiation features and influence of Wang Hongxu's theory on dorsal furuncle.On the basis of his unique syndrome differentiation method, wang's treating principle were summarized. Treatment should be based on syndrome differentiation and Yin-yang. The treatment of dorsal furuncle should also view great importance to syndrome differentiation. Wang was good at Xiao, Tuo and Tu. He could freely use invigorating method, and he opposed the abuse of acupuncture and knife. In his point's of view regulating spleen and stomach, worming spleen and tonifying spleen should go all though the treatment. The limitations of Wang'theory were also listed in this article. This article could be a supplement to today's medical textbook, which told little about Wang and his works.
