【Objective】To test the expression of Survivin, TK1 and P16 proteins in the invasive ductal breast carcinoma and discuss its significance of carcinogenesis and progression in breast carcinoma.【Methods】The expression of Survivin, P16 and TK1 proteins was detected by immunohisochemistry S-P and ABC methods in 50 cases Of invasive ductal breast carcinoma and others associated breast tissue. The relationship of Survivin expression with differentiation, invasion, Metastasis and prognosis of invasive ductal breast carcinoma was analyzed. The correlation of the expression of Survivin and Tk1, P16 was also analyzed.【Results】1.The positive expression of Survivin and Tkl proteins in the invasive ductal breast carcinoma, intraductal carcinoma in situ, benign lesion and normal breast tissue adjacent to carcinoma shows significant difference(P<0.05). The positive expression of Survivin and Tkl proteins in the normal breast tissue, benign lesion and invasive ductal breast carcinoma shows improving tendency. 2. The expression of Survivin proteins in the invasive ductal breast carcinoma was significantly associated with lymph node metastasis, clinical stage, pathological grade and 5-year survival rate(P<0.05). But it wasn't associated with patient age, ER and PR(P>0.05). 3. It was found that the positive expression of P16 protein in the variety groups of normal breast tissue, benign lesion and invasive ductal breast carcinoma was decreased, but was not considered statistically significant(P>0.05). 4. The expression of Survivin was not respectively related to that of Tkl and P16(P>0.05). 【Conclusions】Survivin protein was high expressed in the invasive cluctal breast carcinoma, and significantly associated with clinical stage, pathological grade, lymph node metastasis and survival rate. It may be a adjunct parameter of detecting breast carcinoma and evaluating the potential of lymph node metastasis in the invasive ductal breast carcinoma. It can provide objective reference to diagnose, treat, determine the prognosis of breast carcinoma. 2. Survivin may be a new target therapeutic strategy for breast carcinoma because of its character of inhibiting apoptosis activity and absent expression in the normal tissue. 3. The high expression of TK1 protein in the invasive ductal breast carcinoma indicated significant association with breast carcinogenesis. 4. This study shows hardly obvious correlation between the expression of Survivin and that of TK1 or P16. It can be used as the reference for more study later.
