Objective:Breast cancer is one of the most common malignancy amongwomen, almost100million people worldwide are diagnosed with breastcancer each year,and the incidence is increased year by year. And it represtsabout15%of cancer-related death in women. The differences of Breast cancerhistology and biological behavior lead to differences of their response totreatment, even the same pathological type and stage of patients, there aresignificant individual differences of the same treatment program. Although thetraditional anatomic staging is very mature risk assessment indicator, but thedisease is still not enough to make a comprehensive judgment, it has notcompletely satisfied with the clinica. ER, PR, HER-2are proved to be themost important molecular markers to guide the treatment of breast cancer andinfluencing the prognosis and they provide the individualized treatment ofbreast cancer. To investigate the expression of Survivin and AIB-1protein andtheir relationship with clinical features of invasive ductal carcinoma ofbreast(IDC); to explore the distrbution of different molecular subtypes ofIDC, analyze the expression of Survivin and AIB-1(amplified in breastcancer1) protein in different molecular subtypes of IDC in order to find somereliable molecular markers to the clinical features and provide certain therybasis for the judgment of the prognosis of IDC.Methods: Expression of Survivin and AIB-1was examined byimmunohistochemical method S-P in81cases of IDC. Using the SPSS13.0software to analyze the relationship between Survivin,AIB-1and clinicalfeatures, the distrbution of different molecular subtypes,and analyze thecorrelation between the two.The percentage、median or average were used todescribe the clinical date.The enumeration data was analyzed by χ2test orFisher’s Exact test,the ranked data was by Non-parametric test,the relationship between the two variables using the Spearman rank correlation.All tests wereperformed at the0.05level of significances。Results:1In IDC, The positive rate of Survivin and AIB-1in IDC tissues were77.8%(63/81) and80.2%(65/81),respectively.2The expression of Survivin and AIB-1were positive related with thelymph node metastasis,but both of them were not related with age.There was asignificant difference in the positive rates of Survivin expression in differenttumor size、histological grade and clinical stage. However, the expression ofAIB-1had no significant correlation with those clinicopathological features.3Among all81cases, Luminal A was the majority39.51%(32/81),Triple Negative was the second largest group24.69%(20/81), Her-2(+) andLuminal B are the smallest groups,22.22%(18/81) and13.58%(11/81),respectively.4Among the different molecular subtypes of IDC, There were morelymph node metastasis in Luminal B and Her-2(+),the rates are63.6%(7/11)and55.6%(10/18)(p<0.05); Different subtype has differenthistopathologic grading. Luminal A was more than others amonggradeⅠ,Most Triple Negative patients were grade Ⅲ,but it has no significantdifference.(p>0.05).5The expression of Survivin in Luminal B (91%) and Her-2(+)(94%)of IDC is higher than the other two molecular subtypes, but it has nosignificant difference,(p>0.05).The expression of AIB-1in differentmolecular subtypes of IDC has significant difference,(p<0.05). Theexpression of AIB-1in Luminal A(68.6%) is much lower than in TripleNegative(90%) and Her-2(+)(88.9%) type.(p<0.05).6In all81cases, both positive of Survivin and AIB-1were54cases,thecommon negative were7cases.And the positive one has the higher rate oflymph node metastasis.The Spearman rank correlation show that there was asignificant positive correlation between the positive expression of Survivinand AIB-1(r=0.257,P=0.021). Conclusion:1The positive rate of Survivin in IDC tissues were77.8%. Theexpression of Survivin was not related with age. There was a significantdifference in the positive rates of Survivin expression in different tumor size、lymph node metastasis、histological grade and clinical stage.2The positive rate of AIB-1in IDC tissues were80.2%. The expressionof AIB-1was related with lymph node metastasis of IDC. There was asignificant difference in the positive rates of AIB-1expression in differentage、tumor size、histological grade and clinical stage.3Among all81cases Luminal A was the majority (39.51%), TripleNegative was the second largest group(24.69%), Her-2(+) and Luminal B arethe smallest gropes,22.22%and13.58%,respectively. The distrbution ofdifferent molecular subtypes of IDC have significant difference.4Among the four molecular subtypes of IDC,the rates of lymph nodemetastasis in Luminal B(63.6%) and Her-2(+)(55.6%) groups are much higherthan in Luminal A (28.1%) and Triple Negative(25%). And the difference issignificant.5There were no significant difference of positive rates of Survivinamong the four molecular subtypes of IDC. However,the positive rates ofAIB-1in Triple Negative、Her-2(+) are90%and88.9%,that are much higherthan the other two molecular subtypes of IDC.And the difference of theexpression of AIB-1among the four molecular subtypes has statisticallysignificance.
