Objective Some studys show that FGFR1(fibroblast growth factorreceptor1,FGFR1) plays an important role in the process ofapoptosis,proliferation,angiogenesis,metastasis and endocrine therapyresistance.Survivin is the strongest apoptosis inhibitory factor,and highlyexpressed in tumor tissues,and play a critical role in the biological processesof apoptosis,proliferation and angiogenesis.The current studies about theexpression and correlation of Survivin,FGFR1in invasive ductal carcinoma ofbreast is still less. In this study, using immunohistochemical staining for theexpression of FGFR1,Survivin in invasive ductal carcinoma of breast inChina,and explore the relationship between FGFR1,Survivin andclinicopathological parameters, in order to guide the treatment of breastcancer,and to predict the prognosis of breast cancer.Methods In this study,collected cases which diagnosised invasiveductal carcinoma of the breast by the HeBei General Hospital pathologist,haveresults of routine pathological parameters(ER,PR,Her-2,K67)and completeclinical data between January1,2006to June30,2011,and got81cases ofsurgical patients’data.Using the SP immunohistochemical techniques(ICH)detection the expression of FGFR1and Survivin protein.According theinformation available,analysis the relationship between FGFR1,Survivin andclinicopathological parameters,clinical pathological features,and analysis ofthe correlation between the two.Upload the follow-up data accurately to theSPSS13.0statistical package to do the statistical analysis,the enumeration datawas analyzed by χ2test or Fisher’s Exact test,the ranked data was byNon-parametric test,the relationship between the two variables using theSpearman rank correlation. Clinical data with the percentage or median oraverage for the statistical description,all tests were performed at the0.05level of significances.Results1In the81cases tissue of invasive ductal carcinoma of breast,thepositive rates of expression of FGFR1was29.63%(24/81),The positive ratesof expression of FGFR1was77.78%(63/81).2The positive expression rate of FGFR1in lymph node metastasis andlymph node non-metastasis were25.81%,32.65%respectibely,no statisticallysignificant difference between the two groups(X2=0.424,P=0.515); Thepositive rates of FGFR1in maximum size of tumors≤2cm,2cm<maximumsize of tumors≤5cm and>5cm cases were41.18%,23.40%,35.29%respectively,and no significant difference among the three groups(X2=2.222,P=0.329);The positive rates of FGFR1in the age<50year and theage≥50year cases were24.32%,34.09%respectively,no statistically significantdifference between the two groups(X2=0.919,P=0.338).3The positive rates of FGFR1in Ⅰgrade、Ⅱ grade and Ⅲ grade of thepathology were41.18%,23.40%,35.29%respectively,and no significantdifference among the three groups(X2=4.514,P=0.105).4The positive rates of FGFR1in breast cancer TNM stage in Ⅰstage、Ⅱ stage and Ⅲ-Ⅳ stage were22.73%,31.82%,30.77%respectively,and nosignificant difference among the three groups(X2=0.608,P=0.738).5The positive rates of FGFR1in ER positive and ER negative groupswere41.86%,15.79%respectively,Spearman rank correlation analysis resultsare shown that FGFR1expression was positively with ER(r=0.285,P=0.01);The positive rates of FGFR1in PR positive and PR negative groups were12.50%,46.34%respectively,Spearman rank correlation analysis results areshown that FGFR1expression was negatively with PR(r=-0.371,P=0.001);Thepositive rates of FGFR1in Her-2positive and Her-2negative were6.90%,42.31%respectively,Spearman rank correlation analysis results areshown that FGFR1expression was negatively with Her-2(r=-0.372,P=0.001).The positive rates of FGFR1in Ki-67positive and Ki-67negativewere43.64%,0.00%respectively,Spearman rank correlation analysis results are shown that FGFR1expression was positively with Ki-67(r=0.446,P=0.001).6The positive expression rate of Survivin in lymph node metastasisand lymph node non-metastasis were90.32%,69.39%respectibely,hasstatistically significant difference between the two groups(X2=4.772,P=0.029);The positive rates of Survivin in maximum size of tumors≤2cm,2cm<maximum size of tumors≤5cm and>5cm cases were64.71%,78.72%,88.24%respectively,and has significant difference among thethree groups(X2=21.50,P=0.000);The positive rates of Survivin in the age<50year and the age≥50year cases were83.78%,72.73%respectively,nostatistically significant difference between the two groups(X2=1.422,P=0.233).7The positive rates of Survivin in Ⅰgrade,Ⅱ grade and Ⅲ grade ofthe pathology were28.57%,85.71%,76.00%respectively,and has significantdifference among the three groups(X2=11.638,P=0.003).8The positive rates of Survivin in breast cancer TNM stage in Ⅰstage、Ⅱ stage and Ⅲ-Ⅳ stage were54.55%,81.82%,100%respectively,has significant difference among the three groups(X2=10.792,P=0.005),andwith the rise of clinical stage,the positive rates of Survivin is higher.9The positive rates of Survivin in ER positive and ER negative groupswere72.09%,84.21%respectively,Spearman rank correlation analysis resultsare shown that Survivin expression unrelated with ER(r=-0.145,P=0.195); Thepositive rates of Survivin in PR positive and PR negative groups were85.00%,70.73%respectively,Spearman rank correlation analysis results areshown that Survivin expression unrelated with PR(r=0.172,P=0.126);Thepositive rates of Survivin in Her-2positive and Her-2negative were93.10%,69.23%respectively,Spearman rank correlation analysis results areshown that Survivin expression was positively with Her-2(r=0.275,P=0.013).The positive rates of Survivin in Ki-67positive and Ki-67negativewere85.45%,61.54%respectively,Spearman rank correlation analysis resultsare shown that Survivin expression was positively with Ki-67(r=0.269, P=0.015).10In invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast, the common positive ofFGFR1and Survivin were24cases,the common negative were18cases.Spearman rank correlation analysis results are shown that FGFR1expression was positively with Survivin(r=0.347,P=0.006).Conclusion1In the tissue of invasive ductal carcinoma of breast,there were notsignificant correlation between the expression of FGFR1and the patient,sage,tumor size,lymph node metastasis,histopathological grade,clinicalstage.FGFR1expression was positively with ER and Ki-67,was negativelywith PR and Her-2.2In the tissue of invasive ductal carcinoma of breast,there wasunrelated between the expression of Survivin and patient,s age,the expressionof ER and PR,but there was closely related with tumor size,axillary lymphnode metastasis,TNM stage and histological grade(P<0.05),and positivelywith Ki-67and Her-2.3In the tissue of invasive ductal carcinoma of breast,the expression ofFGFR1was positively with Survivin,and both of FGFR1and Survivin werepositively correlated with the expression of Ki-67.
