Objective:To understand the medication status and rationality of antibiotics to the patients in tumor hospital.Methods:1600 cases who were discharged in tumor hospital from January to April in 2006 were retrospectively analyzed,and the types of medications,combined medications,the time of the medication,usage of perioperation period,indications of medication,bacterial culture and susceptibility test to the medicine were compared between four departments.Results:Antibiotics were administered to 1078 cases,the application rate was 67.38%.Among them the prophylactic and remedial usage of antibiotics accounted for 23.35%and 62%,respectively.The medication without any indications accounted for 14.65%.Among the patients who were treated with antibiotics,996 cases(14.96%)were medicated based on the bacterial culture and drug susceptibility test,others(85.04%)were used according to experience.The rate of replacement of antibiotics without any reason was 62.28%.81.75%of the patients receiving aseptic operation were treated with antibiotics for 3days or more.Conclusion: In this hospital,from January to April in 2006,there are some irrationality of antibiotic usage such as the medication rate is higher,the rate of sending samples for examination during treatment is lower,the rate of abused antibiotics and frequently replaced antibiotics during the treatment are higher,the application time during perioperative period is longer.So the clinicians should obey the principles of the application of antibiotics and use the antibiotics reasonably.
