| Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect in treatment of femoral atherosclerosis plaque in senile patients with Type 2 Diabetes with principle of Qi-replenishing Yin-nourishing and Blood-activating. Methods: 56 cases of vascular lesions in the lower extremities in patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into two groups randomly. 26 cases were treated with Sheng Mai and Ligustrazine injections served as treatment group, others served as control group treated with Alprostadil. Both of them were treated with Acarbose, Gliclazide and fluvastatin to regulate fasting blood glucose and fasting lipid level. After 3 periods of treatment, we observed the clinical effect and the change of intima-media thickness, inside diameter, peak systolic velocity and blood flow. Results: The principle of Qi-replenishing Yin-nourishing and Blood-activating can relieve clinical symptom, reduce IMT, expand inside diameter, blood flow, and peak systolic velocity. On the aspect of TCM symptom, it is remarkably superior to the control group, but on the femoral Doppler inspection and hemodynamics, both groups have not obvious difference. Conclusion: The principle of Qi-replenishing Yin-nourishing and Blood-activating cure femoral atherosclerosis plaque in senile patients with type 2 diabetes had achieved good therapeutic effect, it can be used to guide the clinic.
